| Review for Mangalya in Velneshwar by Mr. Kumar Kanetkar:- We were looked after very well by the Gokhales at Mangalya. Their house is located just a short walk to the temple and thence to the beach. We were there for just one night on the way to Malvan and the room was clean and quiet. The dinner served at home was very well made and served with affection and in plenty. We left for Malvan early the next morning, and I still remember the kande pohe - fluffy and very tasty indeed. I have no hesitation in recommending their house for anyone that plans to visit Velneshwar. |

Guhagar is relatively bigger town along the coast; the beach here is approximately 6 km long. Sand is white and water is very clear. Enjoy sun, sand and play around on the beach here, however be careful in the water as there are few pits inside the sea and the undercurrents have caused a lot of fatal accidents. This being a town you can experience buzz on the beach with lot of vendors selling refreshments.
