This real village Homestay owned by Mr Shabir Ansari is managed by Jim Corbett Gram Vikas Samiti as part of their Ecotourism initiative.
The objective of this initiative is to promote tourism with minimal impact on ecology and at the same time provide villagers with source of income, so that their dependence on forest products is reduced and wildlife is protected. If you wish to experience nature in the most original form this is the place to be.

- This homestay is named after "Indian Grey Hornbill' bird; called as 'Lambadore' in Kumaoni language.
- Situated in Chhoti Haldwani village; which was established by legenday hunter turned conservationist Jim Corbett. His ancient home is now converted into Museum, is a must see for all.
- Rooms are big in size and are well furnished.
- Rooms are part of the home and hence ample common area for interaction is available.
- Toilets are basic and are part of the home.
- Property is situated among fields and hence this gives experience of real village surroundings.
- Lichee and Mango are surrounding home; which are great to spend afternoon or evening time.
- Hot water available on request.
- Home cooked Kumaoni food would be provided.
- The prices are inclusive of Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast and Tea for 2 persons.

- Brahm Bamboo Trail - 8 km of trek in dense forest to see wildlife.
- Boar
Canal Trail : Built in 1860 for cooling Northern India's first Iron
Foundry (Kumaon Iron Works); this canal is an engineering marvel of 8.6
kms. At times it passes over a stream and at times it passes
underground below a stream. Trek around this canal is also an opportunity
to birds and water mills.
- Corbett Fall Trail: Trek of 6.5 km to this waterfall through dense forest is great experience of the jungle.
- Shivering
Tree Trail : This trek to spot Shivering Tree (Gardenia turgida)
through forest is an interesting experience. The leaves of this tree
shiver when you rub your hand on its roots- you need to see to believe
!!!
- Corbett Heritage Trail: See the model village developed
by Jim Corbett; to make humans co-exist in harmony with nature. See the
museum, chaupal, Corbett wall and gun gifted by him to the village.
This trail is part of the stay package.
- For all treks, but for Corbett Heritage trail additional
charges apply for guides. The same can be paid at site after reaching.
- Treks are extremely interesting, informative and enjoyable experience for groups.
