| Palakkad:
Palakkad or Palghat as it is popularly known is a classic blend of Tamil and Kerala cultures. It is named after Palghat pass in the western ghats. Palakkad connects Kerala with plains of Tamilnadu. This area is also known to be home to Namboodri Brahmins, a community to whom Adi Shankaracharya belonged.
