Barot: Himachal in its most pristine form can be experienced at this place. Barot is near Biling which is famous for Paragliding. As soon as you take a turn from Ghatasni (before Joginder Nagar on NH 20 which connect Mandi to Pathankot) to Zatingri, the narrow winding road starts and ahead of Zatingri a new world emerges. It is as if you have come to Himachal say in 1960’s. You see the real essence of this land in the most original form. Barot is 14 km ahead on this road which finally leads to Lohardi. Farms on the hill slopes, Uhl river flowing through the valley and famous Trout fishing takes place here. The area is lush green with Deodars; with company of snow capped mountains are in close proximity. If you are a seasoned traveler then this is the place to be at. There are limited stay options and they are inexpensive; so you can plan longer stay here.

Dharamshala is 3 hr journey from here. If you are planning to visit Dharamshala and have your own car then this is the most recommended place from us.
