Thekkady:
The most popular attraction of Thekkady is Periyar Tiger
Reserve. This protected forest has Periyar Lake inside it. At Thekkady main
entrance of Tiger reserve is situated; from here you can take boat ride inside
lake.
The surrounding area is also rich in biodiversity and
interesting treks are possible. However unlike Munnar; here site seeing spots
are few and Kumily town is densely populated. Hence long stays may not be
highly enjoyable.
