Dive Agar is a quiet place famous for its Betel Nuts and the beach. On 17th November 1997, Mrs. Draupadi Dharma Patil of this village while digging found a copper case in her farm. Inside the case she found Suvarna Ganesha, a facemask made of Solid Gold weighing 1.3 Kg. After this incident this small village in the past few years has emerged as a holy place thronged by tourists, mainly from Pune. The encryption on the box dates it to 1060 A.D. and originally belonged to Maval Bhatt. He was minister in the court of King Mummaniraj of Shilahar Dynasty.

Design of crown of Ganesha is of South Indian style with motif of Sonchafa (Flower) and Payari (Mango) on it. Payari was the original mango of India; Alphonso mangoes the present famous variety was brought in by Portuguese later.
Dive Agar being a holy place the locals expect you to maintain certain decorum as this is a holy place.
Also do not forget to check the new experiments in agriculture done by people over there. The place is extremely progressive in agriculture as many youngsters from the village are well educated. Contrary to normal migration from villages to big towns; youngsters from this place went to towns for education only to return back to roots and bring progressive attitude for development.
